Rhysaene finished the painting on 9 Nightdeep, 1714 PSF, wrapped it, and rested a hoof dipped in black paint on the wrapping paper to show it was authentic.1 She took it to the Footlight, where Cassius Vane called it quite beautiful and agreed to sell it on consignment.1 Considering the materials, she asked 145 crowns. It would probably not sell right away, said Cassius, but he was sure it would sell for that much.1 She named it Burning Fields, for now, and Cassius hung it where it would be seen.1
