Candlelight Players

The Candlelight Players are the theater troupe of the Footlight Theater in Argentum, directed by Cassius Vane.¹ When they write their own plays, Sera Siannodel is usually the main author.¹

Members

• Cassius Vane, the director.¹
• Iados, called Iados the Poet, the lead actor. He is fairly new compared to the others.¹
• Donella Daergel, the stage manager.¹
• Sera Siannodel, the main playwright.¹

Activities

The troupe grows every month and every year.¹ Now and then the Synod sends an angry letter telling them to change a play, but mostly it leaves them alone, and their funding for the arts is good.¹ Their backdrops show anything from the rolling hills of the Silver Vale to a dark alley at night, or mountains, forests and dungeons.¹ In Nightdeep 1714 PSF they were in the early stages of a new production, and their next play was to be a romance.¹

Lathiel was involved with the theater, and sometimes performed in its productions.¹

History

Session 17

The troupe was preparing on the Footlight’s stage on 7 Nightdeep, 1714 PSF, when the party came looking for Lathiel's ledger. Sera and Donella, under a magical compulsion, tried to keep them out of the prop room until Rhysaene overrode it.¹ Cassius asked Rhysaene to paint the troupe’s scenery, for pay.¹

Session 19

On 9 Nightdeep, 1714 PSF, the troupe was rehearsing its next play and rewriting it as it went. Cassius Vane put off commissioning scenery from Rhysaene until its designs were settled.² Iados was likely to be in a sword fight in it.²
