Sera Siannodel is the main playwright of the Candlelight Players at the Footlight Theater in Argentum. When the troupe writes its own plays, she is usually the main author.1 She was incredibly close to Lathiel.1

Description

Appearance

A half-elf woman with dark hair pulled back into a braided ponytail. She wears many layered scarves over her clothes, each a different muted red, green or blue.1

Personality

Sera loves her job and being part of the theater, and Rhysaene had never known her as anything but a lover of the arts.1 When the party arrived she stood at the back of the stage writing in a notebook, crossing out and writing again.1 She ran to hug Rhysaene, whom she had not seen in over a year, and said she had missed her a lot.1

Lathiel

Lathiel had an on-again, off-again fling with Sera before she and Rhysaene grew close. It was no secret, and it never seemed to bother Sera, who was always happy to see them together.1 There was no tension between them when Lathiel was involved in the theater. Lathiel never talked about her, and outside the theater nobody would have known they knew each other.1

Biography

Session 17

Sera took Rhysaene to a dressing room on 7 Nightdeep, 1714 PSF. It had been more than a year since she had heard from Rhysaene or Lathiel, and she had been worried about both of them. Rhysaene told her they were taking a little time apart but were still friends.1 Sera had written a couple of plays since they last spoke, and the troupe had put on one.1 She offered Rhysaene space in the lobby for her art, and asked her to paint sets.1

When Rhysaene said Lathiel had sent her to look for a book, Sera’s eyes widened. There was nothing like that there, she said flatly, and members of the public could not go rummaging through their things.1 Asked again, she told Rhysaene not to ask again.1 Afterwards she splashed water on her face and took a deep breath.1

When Luma tried the prop room door, Sera and Donella Daergel turned toward it in unison, and then pounded on it until Sera’s hands bled. Iva held her back.1 When Rhysaene overrode the magical compulsion driving them, Sera relaxed and went for a drink of water.1 Hazel bandaged her hands. She felt hot and a little dizzy, and remembered only thinking someone was in the prop room who should not be, then deciding it did not matter.1

Session 19

Cassius Vane told Rhysaene on 9 Nightdeep, 1714 PSF, that Sera was doing well.2
