Iados

Iados, who goes by Iados the Poet, is the lead actor of the Candlelight Players at the Footlight Theater in Argentum.¹ He is fairly new compared to the rest of the troupe, and was not yet its lead when Rhysaene last visited.¹

Description

Appearance

A tiefling man with slate-grey skin and curled horns polished almost to an obsidian shine. He wears a single gold earring.¹ His voice is deep and booming.¹

Personality

Iados drew a rapier when Donella Daergel threatened to have the party dragged out, and said he would remove anyone who caused trouble. It was a prop, blunted, with its tip welded. He flourished it back into its scabbard and bowed.¹ He answered Iva’s challenge in character, calling her a contemptuous wench, and fought a mock duel with her across the stage.¹ Sera Siannodel calls him wonderful.¹

Biography

Session 17

Iados was reading lines on the Footlight’s stage on 7 Nightdeep, 1714 PSF, when the party arrived.¹ After his duel with Iva, Rhysaene suggested red tassels to show blood at the final hit. He liked the idea, and said they had some in the prop room. When Luma warned that its door sometimes trapped people, he said he had never understood why they kept it locked.¹

Session 19

Iados stubbed his toe on a prop helmet a couple of days before 9 Nightdeep, 1714 PSF, but it did not hurt his footwork, which Cassius Vane thought lucky, since he was likely to be in a sword fight in the troupe’s next play.²
