Kusa Xungoon

Kusa Xungoon is a kobold woman in Argentum, the proprietor of Xungoon Family Seafood at the Canal Markets and the mother of Gammon Xungoon.¹ She is a member of the Canal Market Merchants Council.¹ Her family and Lamai Tyenmo’s have feuded for generations.¹

Description

Personality

Kusa defends her family fiercely. She put herself between her son and Lamai, accused Lamai of attacking him, and insisted he had been driven to steal only by Lamai’s sabotage of her stall.¹ She is certain of Lamai’s guilt. Asked why, she said there was no one else it could be, and that Lamai had hated her family for generations.¹ She does business even in an argument: she introduced herself to Luma with her stall’s slogan, and told Lamai the party did not want her worthless noodles.¹

Session 19

On the evening of 9 Nightdeep, 1714 PSF, Kusa found Lamai chasing Gammon through the market over a bunch of green onions.¹ She offered Luma free seafood for life and fifty crowns, and then a hundred, for proof that Lamai was sabotaging her stall. Asked how long a lifetime supply would last, she said seven or eight years, maybe a dozen.¹ She told Luma that Lamai had stolen her fish and other ingredients, knocked over barrels of her fish sauce, and almost set her stall on fire.¹ When Luma turned the offers down, Kusa agreed to put in a good word for her stall if she proved it was Lamai, and shook hands with Lamai on a truce until it was settled.¹
